You might be wondering which phones will be the first to use Qualcomm's new flagship mobile chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which is expected to launch in October.
A new leak from a typically trustworthy source claims that Xiaomi and the chip manufacturer have an exclusive agreement for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 to be used first. The Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro will therefore be the first two gadgets to utilize the new SoC.
Later on, the OnePlus 13 and the iQOO 13 will arrive. These are 'the usual suspects' according to history, even though the precise release order may have changed since last year. When they were released in China, the OnePlus 12, iQOO 12, Xiaomi 14, and Xiaomi 14 Pro were also some of the first to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
As is customary, the global releases of the Xiaomi 15, OnePlus 13, and iQOO 13 could happen a few weeks after the Chinese launch. Additionally, since the Xiaomi 14 Pro was never given a global release, the same could happen with its successor.
