Following its unexpected announcement yesterday, Moondrop has returned with more information about the MIAD 01 smartphone, as well as additional product photos.
The MIAD 01 will feature a 6.7-inch curved OLED display with 1080p resolution, per the company's X posts. It will feature 1920MHz high frequency PWM dimming and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The phone will feature the 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm fully balanced audio outputs that were indicated in the initial announcement. According to the company, these will be powered by an independent LDO power supply, a gold-sinking independent audio circuit, and a flagship decoding chip.
The device's curved sides, flat top and bottom, and front curved display are all highlighted in the additional photos the company has released. Although the back material is unknown, the absence of any antenna lines suggests that the shell is made of unibody polycarbonate.
We still don't know what kind of chipset or battery this device is running on. In the end, these will determine the price of this phone. We will just have to wait for more details. The phone's audio quality seems to be comparable to high-end digital audio players, so it's unlikely to be inexpensive. Maybe tomorrow we'll be back here talking about them.
