A rumour from yesterday stated that Samsung was going to release the Galaxy Watch X, a wearable that is intended to take on the Apple Watch Ultra 2. This was previously mentioned in another rumour as the Galaxy Watch7 Ultra.
And it appears that Samsung chose to call it Galaxy Watch Ultra rather than either of those names. As the screenshot below shows, this was made public through the UAE's TDRA certification procedure.
This version of the Galaxy Watch Ultra, model number SM-L705F, features cellular connectivity. We can infer from its FCC listing that it will accept 10W charging.
According to rumours, the Watch Ultra will feature a rotating bezel, a round 1.5" screen, and a squircle matte case design. On the left edge, there will be a sizable speaker grille, and three buttons on the right edge.
Rumour has it that it supports 100 hours of battery life and 10ATM/100m water resistance. That would be a huge advancement for Wear OS; the longest battery life Samsung has offered us to date is the Galaxy Watch5 Pro's stated 80 hours. By the way, the battery that powers the Galaxy Watch Ultra is rated at 578 mAh, though it might end up being marketed as having a typical capacity of 600 mAh.
It will go on sale in July along with the Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Watch7 family, the Galaxy Watch FE / Galaxy Watch4 2024, and the Galaxy Ring. It will be powered by the new Exynos W1000 SoC.
